Some more evidence that Sprint will also offer Apple’s iPhone 5 along with AT&T and Verizon when it is launched in the next few weeks.
SprintFeed reports that they’ve got hold of an internal memo from Sprint management, which reveals that Sprint has blacked out staff vacation for the first half of October due to the possibility of a major phone launch.
SprintFeed reports:
One of our beloved Super Spies has snagged an internal memo advising Sprint employees that they’re “blacking out September 30th through October 15th,” due to the possibility of a major phone release in October. For those of you who don’t know what they mean by “blacking out,” it means they’re not allowing time off requests during this specific time period.
In the last few weeks, we’ve heard several rumors that Sprint might offer Apple’s iPhone 5 on it’s network. Sprint even had to send an internal memo to its employees telling them: “Do not Speculate about Sprint Getting the iPhone.”, which was counter productive as it was perceived by some as a positive indication that Sprint is finally getting the iPhone.
A leaked internal memo has revealed that even Best Buy is expecting Sprint iPhone 5 in the first week of October. Couple of days back, a report also claimed that Sprint has started installing signal repeaters in Apple’s Retail stores, suggesting that it was gearing up for iPhone 5 launch.
Sprint is also expected to offer iPhone customers their unlimited data and voice plans to compete with AT&T and Verizon, according to a report by Bloomberg yesterday.
Based on the leaked internal memo from Sprint management, it looks like Apple’s fifth generation iPhone will be available in the first half of October rather than late October as some reports have indicated.
Unfortunately for all of us who have been eagerly waiting for iPhone 5, October can’t come soon enough.
