There are plenty of new and updated features that make iOS 9 appealing to Apple device owners. But, for me, it’s the simple, usually overlooked things that make iOS 9 a must-have upgrade. For those of you that use the iPhone or iPad as your main photography device, selecting and sending multiple photos has just become more intuitive and downright easier to do.
How to multi-select in iOS 9 Photos
You would think that phones equipped with touch-technology would use every opportunity to showcase their technology, but Apple has been slow to incorporate some gesture-based actions into its default applications, like Photos. I mean, Google just added some pretty basic swipe gestures to iOS’s Chrome. Nevertheless, in iOS 9 you can now drag-to-select multiple photos.
In previous OS’s you would have to tap on each photo to select multiple items. You can also select multiple photos by tapping Select in the top right, followed by Select All, which makes it easier to bulk delete older photos.
Since tapping on individual thumbnails is inconvenient and has caused me to accidentally deselect photos this new method is well received. Check out more of iOS 9’s hidden features and be sure to let us know your favorites in the comment section.
