A lot of us use our iPhones for productivity on a daily basis, but our devices are made to entertain as much as they’re made for productivity. That’s why I’m going to show you 5 awesome iPhone games that you need to check out for yourself!

There are a ton of different genres of games for iOS and in this list I tried to not stick to one type of game. So if you’re looking for a game to really dig your teeth into or if you’re just looking to kill some time in the DMV line, there’s something for you here. If you want a quick run down and live look at these games in action, be sure to check out the video below!

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes – Free

This is a turn-based game where you build your entire team from the ground up. You’ll be choosing teammates that range from Luke Skywalker to Darth Vader and anyone in between. Once you have your characters, it’s your duty to fight to gain XP to level up not only your characters, but each of their skills as well. This is a game that you can sit and play for hours and definitely not one you can beat anytime soon.

Rolling Sky – Free

I love this game. The graphics are awesome along with the music that is timed ever so perfectly with everything that’s happening on the screen. You’re a ball and your objective it to swipe from left to right to get to the end of the level. If you can beat level 3, then you’re a rock star because it’s insane.

Darklings – $0.99

This is a very unique game. It’s not new either, but it’s new to me since I’ve never stumbled upon it before. You’re a little character called Lum and you right the enemies by drawing whatever symbol is on their head. The graphics are some of the best I’ve seen for a game of this nature and the animations and music just add to that monochromatic, yet beautiful feel.

Trials Frontier – Free

I’ve always been a fan of dirtbikes and even though I don’t ride them much anymore, it’s still fun to control them ingame. In this side scrolling game you’ll be trying to do tricks to get high scores, try to get the fastest time in time trials, and most importantly, upgrade your bike. I’m always a fan of games that you upgrade your vehicle just because it’s always fun to work for that upgrade and you’re always curious as to how much better the next upgrade will be.

The Line Zen – Free

This is a game that takes a little practice before you can fully appreciate it. Mostly, that’s because the first several times can be incredibly frustrating. But, once you get the hang of it, this is a really fun game where you guide a little dot through a treacherous path filled with traps and moving parts that are just waiting to burst your bubble.
