GarageBand 2.2 for iOS Adds Alchemy Synth and More

Apple updated its Logic Pro X with a spattering of new features today, and GarageBand for iOS is getting some attention as well.

Apple is updating GarageBand for iOS to version 2.2. With it, one of the biggest features of its pro-grade Logic software is now available in the mobile app. Alchemy Synth includes over 150 new patches that offers a variety of different sounds from various genres.

On top of that, GarageBand for iOS now features an updated audio recorder, which allows users to add vocal effects. There are new audio processing tools, including a graphic EQ that can handle sound adjustments on the fly.

The updated software also includes a tweaked user interface to make navigation a bit faster as well.

GarageBand 2.2 is available as a free update for anyone who has a new iOS-based device. For those who need to buy it, it’s $4.99.
