Epic Games’ ‘Fornite’ is currently all the rage in the gaming world. While the company has not released the game publicly for iPhone and iPad users, it is testing the game by providing early access to certain users. If you have not received any such email, there’s no need to be disappointed as you can get an invite to try out Fortnite from one of your friends who was invited to try out the game.
If you are already a Fornite player, you will see a “Friend Invite” button after logging into the game. You should likely also receive an email from Epic Games about the ability to invite friends as well. Nonetheless, once you tap the button, an invitation link will be shown that you can share with your friends. Each invitation link can only be used once so you will have to create and share multiple links if you have many friends who are interested in playing Fornite.
You can also request an invite from Epic Games directly if you don’t know anyone playing Fornite, but that process can take time as the company is rolling out invites in batches as it is increasing its server capacity.
Before you try and get your hands on a Fornite invite though, do note that the game only works with the latest iPhones and iPads due to its intensive nature. This includes:
- iPhone SE, iPhone 6s and higher
- iPad mini 4
- iPad 2017
- iPad Pro and later
All older models of iPhones and iPad are not compatible with Fortnite so if you own one of them, don’t bother trying to get your hands on an invite as the game will not work. Fortnite for iOS offers the same gaming experience as its PC, PS4 or Xbox counterpart. The cross-platform battle royale game puts 100 players in an elimination deathmatch where they take on each other, with the last man standing being declared the winner.
