At the bottom of the iPhone X, you’ll find the brand new Home indicator. It’s a little software white Home bar. The area is used for swipe gestures. For unlocking the phone, taking you home and even for invoking Reachability. When iPhone X lost its Home button, Control Center lost its bottom edge gesture privilege. So where’s it gone?

How to Access Control Center
Control Center has switched sides, now living on the top. Swipe down from the top-right edge of the iPhone X display (the right ear, after the notch ends) and you’ll see the Control Center bumble down to the screen.
And now it’s the regular affair. 3D Touch the controls to expand them, tap to interact. The whole nine yards.
It’s a new gesture but you’ll get used to it. Remember that to access toggles, swipe down from the area that shows your Wi-Fi, cellular signal and battery.
How to Access Control Center Using Reachability
The iPhone X is quite tall. The screen itself is taller than that of the iPhone 8 Plus. While the new iPhone does have Reachability support, it’s an accessibility option. If you find it difficult to reach the top-right edge of the iPhone (especially difficult when using the iPhone X with your left hand), this workaround should help.
Step 1: Let’s first enable Reachability. Open Settings -> General -> Accessibility and turn on Reachability.
Step 2: Next, let’s invoke Reachability from the new Home indicator. Put your finger or thumb on the top part of the indicator area and flick your finger down. This will bring down the whole UI.
Step 3: The top part of the screen will be blank. Swipe down from the right side of the blank area. You’ll enable Control Center.

In a Much Better Place?
Control Center’s gesture has never been perfect. Invoking it with the keyboard open was always a hit and miss. Sometimes, you’d end up opening it accidentally. Being on the top edge takes care of those issues. But also loses its frictionless appeal.
