On Monday, May 4, MyFitnessPal announced that it had recently launched “MyFitnessPal Premium,” which is designed to go more in-depth about specific dietary needs of those using the service.

The MyFitnessPal app is getting updated in general today, with the latest version offering up some key features for both free and paid users. For everyone, MyFitnessPal will now offer information on thousands of foods that are available in the app’s databases. With this information, users can check on caloric and nutrition content, which aims to help remove any guesswork from logging the information.

For Premium members, the experience gets expanded in pivotal ways, including an ad-free experience to start. As per the press release, here’s more to look forward to:

Ad-free Experience. Access MyFitnessPal on your Andorid or iOS device, or on the web, and enjoy all of premium’s awesome features without the distraction of banner ads.

VIP Customer Support. Jump to the front of the line when you need help from our world-class customer happiness team.

Premium Content: Get access to exclusive MyFitnessPal dietitian-approved original recipes, meal plans and nutrition tips created by our in-house nutrition and coaching team.

The new update is available now in the App Store, and a link is available below. It’s priced at $9.99 per month, or $49.99 per year for those that want the expanded experience.
