Google today released MyGlass for iOS, a companion app for Google Glass to control and manage the device using your iPhone.

Here’s MyGlass’ App Store description:

MyGlass allows you to configure and manage your Glass device. Use it to set up Glass, get directions on the go, screencast what you see on Glass to your phone, and add Glassware and contacts.

If you don’t have Glass, then downloading this will be a waste of time. Sorry about that. Learn more at google.com/glass.

Google Glass was previously able to get online via any iPhone over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, but with the MyGlass companion app, a Glass user will be able to get turn-by-turn directions using the iPhone’s GPS chip, which is one of the killer features of the device.

Google is currently letting customers buy Google Glass for $1500 on a limited, invite only basis. If you own a Google Glass, you can download MyGlass for iOS from the download link below.

Update 1: The app has been pulled from the App Store after a brief appearance, for unknown reasons.

Update 2: Google says the app should come back to the App Store later this week:

MyGlass for iOS is ready. MyGlass has almost all of the features of the Android app, but designed especially for Apple mobile devices. Set up Glass, get turn-by-turn directions, add new contacts, and turn on Glassware. It’s made especially for XE12, so you’ll want to plug in Glass to your charger and upgrade before downloading the app if you haven’t already. We’ll be releasing it on the App Store later this week.
