Push Doctor Fixes Push Notification Issue On Hacktivated iPhone For Free

One of the known issues with a hacktivated iPhone running iPhone OS 3.0 or later is that the Push Notification feature doesn’t work. The iPhone Dev Team had released a fix to resolve the issue back in July, but it had a major flaw.

There is finally some good news for all those who have been patiently waiting for a fix as Push Doctor has just been released on the Cydia Store to fix the push notification issue.

Push Doctor has been developed by anethema. It gives you genuine activation certificates unlike other workarounds, and they are always unique.

The fix is available on the Cydia Store for free. Here are the installation instructions:

Please remember hacking your iPhone could void its warranty. So please proceed with caution and at your own risk and don’t forget to take a backup of your iPhone (refer to this post for more details).

Simply add the NERV repository: http://cmdshft.ipwn.me/apt/ to your Cydia sources.

Search for the package called "Push Doctor".

Install it and push notification should start working on your hactivated iPhone.

Please note:

This is NOT an application you run from SpringBoard or command line. It does all the work immediately while Cydia runs. If you install this to fix push, and you decide to uninstall the package it will not remove the push fix. Reinstalling will delete your “old” certs and install new ones. You will not notice any difference, however.

If the fix doesn’t work then it could be because the server is out of unique certs due to high demand. The developer has advised users to try to reinstall the package later or the next day to fix the issue.

If you still plan to try it out then let us know how it goes. If you need support, join #pushfix on chat.osx86.hu.
