We’re back with our weekly Best New Games roundup, covering the best new iPhone, iPad and iPod touch game releases from this week. Apple typically refreshes the App Store with a lineup of exciting new games on Wednesday night, this week featuring Red Ball 4, LetterHero, Ball Bird, Battle Fleet 2, Walkr and Zombie Commando.

LetterHero is a game designed for word aficionados, featuring unique word-building gameplay that expands your vocabulary and spelling skills. Put your lightning-fast reflexes to the test in LetterHero, $1.99 for iPhone.

Ball Bird

If you are sick of Flappy Bird, then maybe Ball Bird will be a new alternative you’ve been looking for. Simply bounce your bird as long as possible to get the highest score possible. Ball Bird is free for iPhone and iPad.

Battle Fleet 2

Battle Fleet 2: WW2 in the Pacific is a new action-adventure game in which you embark on a mission to select a fleet of warships, arm them with weapons, assign a captain an destroy enemy fleets. Battle Fleet 2 is $4.99 for iPad.

Walkr

Walkr is touted as a galaxy adventure in your pocket, featuring a vast adventure across the boundless cosmos on a rocket ship built by an 11-year-old genius. Walkr is free for iPhone.

Zombie Commando

Rounding off the list this week is Zombie Commando, a real-time zombie slaughtering game with retro-style pixel graphics. The game is available for an exclusive launch price of $1.99 for iPhone and iPad.
