There
are only two kinds of people, ones who have switched to iPhone and
the ones who eventually will.

Seriously, my love for iPhone knows no
bound (as you might have figured out from my first statement). Hence, here is a little something to help you switch to the
iPhone.

I'll cover the areas that almost every new user needs to know
when he or she switches to an iPhone.

Note: One of the things that we have realized is that we don't take good care of new iPhone users in our natural instinct to bring you the latest iPhone news. So we are starting off with this post to help new iPhone users. Our regular readers don't need to worry, as we will continue to bring you the latest iPhone news, rumors, hacks, iPhone apps review at the regular pace.

Switching
to iPhone is an experience, and I will try my best to make this a pleasant experience for you.

When you switch over to iPhone, you will probably like to move your Contacts, Emails and Calendar first.

I'll start off by covering how to move your Contacts, Emails and Calendar, if you are using Microsoft Exchange (Outlook).

In this case, the switch is extremely simple. Just follow the steps and you are done:

1. Tap the 'Settings' option.
2. Under 'Settings' click on 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' option.

3. And click on 'Add Account' option.

4. This will open up a 'Add Account' page, now on the 'Microsoft Exchange' logo.
5. On the next screen, you will be prompted to enter your 'email address', the username, the password of your domain and a description (for internal use).
(In most cases, it would be the same username and password that you use on your exchange server while accessing your emails).
6. After this, the device will try and find a server, and you will be prompted to enter the Server address.

7. After you have entered the values, and after iPhone confirms connectivity with the exchange server, you will need to select if you want the following options synced:
a. Mail – set the default as On.
b. Contacts – set the default as On.
c. Calendars – set the default as On.

After the above is completed, iPhone start syncing and this will ensure that your entire Outlook is now available in you iPhone.

When you go back to the account settings, you will be able to configure options, such as the number of days for synchronization, or SSL.

Please note SSL option is selected by default, it recommended not to change it.

As I have mentioned earlier, this is just the beginning. Let me know if this helped, or if you are looking for something else so that I can cover it in the future.
