From time to time, Apple marks many of its older products as obsolete which mean that they end up losing repair support. Now, an internal document obtained by 9to5Mac lists the older MacBook Air, Pro, and iPhone models that will become obsolete starting June 30th.

Apple will mark the 2011 MacBook Air (11 and 13-inch, mid-2011) models along with the late 2011 MacBook Pro lineup consisting of 13-inch, 15-inch, and 17-inch Pro variants. The mid-2009 17-inch MacBook Pro and the iPhone 3GS will also be marked as obsolete starting from the above date.

This move from Apple will formally mark the end of its 17-inch MacBook Pro lineup. While Apple discontinued the 17-inch MacBook Pro quite a few years ago, it still provided repair support to existing users but even that will now come to an end.

Now that the mid-2011 MacBook Air and Pro lineup from Apple have been marked as obsolete, they will no longer be supported by macOS 10.13 when it drops later this year.

Additionally, Apple is also marking its first generation 802.11n AirPort Express as obsolete so it will no longer be eligible for repairs or receive any future firmware updates.
