Apple has finally updated iBooks to version 3.2, which comes with a much awaited design overhaul, in line with iOS 7’s design language.
Gone is the wooden shelf books library, characteristic of the Scott Forstall design era, which is replaced by a Newsstand like grid of books, with book covers as the icons for each iBook.
The release notes doesn’t say much apart from “iBooks has been updated with a beautiful new design for iOS 7,” but here are a few screenshots of the redesigned app.
The iTunes U app was updated with an iOS 7 look too, as seen in the screenshots below:
If the apps haven’t been automatically updated, you can download the updates via the Updates tab in the App Store app or use the iTunes links below.
