Some users are reporting difficulties when trying to download and install apps from the App Store, with an error that says “FATAL::Unable to process your request. Please try again.”
Apple’s System Status page doesn’t report any disruption in services, but it might take some time to update.
The issue isn’t affecting everyone, but it isn’t unique to the App Store, or any iOS version. Jeff Benjamin over at iDownloadBlog got the error on both an iOS 7 and an iOS 6 device. Users on Apple’s forums have also been able to reproduce the same issue on iTunes, and the Mac App Store.
The issue seems to have started yesterday, December 4th, and continues today. An Apple discussion forum thread related to this topic runs into six pages, with no solution in sight.
If you’re facing the same issue, you could try signing out of your iTunes account and then sign back in. Some users on Apple’s forums have said this fixed their issues.
