A hidden web page on Apple’s server has been discovered which the company uses to hire “talented engineer.” It is unclear since how long the web page has been up but the job description in the page mentions working on developing a “critical infrastructure component that is to be a key part of the Apple ecosystem.”

Apple defines how critical the job is by mentioning that the data capacity of the project is in Exabytes, with “tens of thousands of services and millions of disks. The key qualifications required for the job include experience in designing, implementing, and supporting scalable apps and web services, and familiarity with Java 8, distributed system ideas, and modern server technologies.

The page was discovered by ZDNet’s Zack Whittaker and has been taken down by Apple since it then.

Considering that this web page was hidden by Apple, it was hoping that probable candidates would find it on their own and apply for the position. Finding the web page itself would have likely made them a strong contender for the position as it is not a page that anyone would come across by chance or just by browsing through Apple’s website.
