Adobe has made its first major app available on the Mac App Store: Adobe Lightroom. The app is a part of Adobe’s Creative Cloud Suite and while it is free to download, one will have to subscribe to Adobe’s CC suite to use the app once the trial period ends.

Apple had highlighted Lightroom at WWDC 2018 last year as one of the few apps that would be available on the Mac App Store once macOS Mojave launched. More than a year later, Adobe is finally fulfilling that promise.

Adobe Lightroom features a 7-day free trial period. After that, one must subscribe to the app by paying $9.99/month or $118.99 as an annual subscription fee. Since the app features cloud syncing, all your work progress is automatically synced to Adobe’s servers and are automatically available across all your other devices on which you have the Lightroom app installed. The subscription also comes with 1TB of cloud storage.

If you download the app from the Mac App Store and subscribe to Lightroom, you will have the option of paying via your iTunes account.

Apart from Adobe, Microsoft is the only other major developer to offer its Office suite available for download through the Mac App Store.
