Twitter is a popular social media service where users can share messages, tweets, photos and videos, GIFs, and much more. Given the amount of information that can be shared on Twitter, it is important that you keep your account secure and avoid unauthorized access.

To help users keep their account more secure, Twitter added login verification a few years back, which is an extra layer of security for your account. When you log into Twitter from a new device, you’ll be asked to to enter a verification code which is sent to the registered phone number. This type of verification ensures that the account is accessed by you and not anyone else.

By enabling login verification, Twitter also provides a backup code in case you lose access to your device or face issues with receiving the verification code on your phone number.

We recommend that all Twitter users enable login verification for their account. Here’s how you can enable two-factor login verification for Twitter on iPhone.

How to Enable Login Verification for Twitter on iPhone

Step 1: Open Twitter.

Step 2: Go to the Me tab.

Step 3: Tap on the gear icon and choose ‘Settings and privacy’.

Step 10: Login verification has now been enabled for your Twitter account. You may also want to note down the backup code which can be used for verification in case you lose access to your device or face issues with receiving the verification code via SMS.

Now that you have enabled login verification for your Twitter account, you can be sure that any unauthorized access to your Twitter account will require a verification code which is sent to your phone number. Without this code, no one can log into your account.
