Twitter finally added Night Mode feature to their official iOS app, which when enabled, switches the app’s theme to a dark colored scheme thereby reducing the strain on your eyes when the app is being used at night or in a dark surrounding.
The feature seems to have been inspired by a jailbreak tweak called Eclipse that brings Night Mode across the entire of iOS. While we’re yet to see Apple turn this into a stock iOS feature, it’s good to see that Twitter has taken the initiative to roll out the feature to their app.
If you use Twitter mostly during the night then you should definitely consider enabling Night Mode if you want to prevent your eyes from getting strained. Read the guide below to find out how to do so.
How to Turn On Night Mode in Twitter
Step 1: Launch the Twitter app on your iOS device.
Step 2: Switch to the tab labelled Me, found in the bottom right corner of the app.
Step 3: Tap on the gear icon and choose Turn on night mode.
The entire interface of Twitter will now turn to a dark color, thereby making it easy to read during the night without straining your eyes too much. To disable night mode, you simply have to tap on the gear icon again and choose ‘Turn off night mode’.
Night Mode feature will be available once you update Twitter to the latest version. As of this writing, version 6.60 is the latest one. If you don’t see the new feature even after updating, consider closing the Twitter app from the App Switcher and then launching it again.
