First Screenshots And Photos From The New iPad

Yesterday, folks at Vietnamese site – Tinhte.vn who have managed to get the third generation iPad ahead of the launch date had posted the first unboxing photos and video of the new iPad along with the Geekbench benchmark scores.

They have now posted some screenshots of some of the native apps such as iPhoto etc. that support the new iPad’s Retina Display.

As MacRumors points out, the size of the screenshots appears to 2.5 to 3 times the size of files taken with iPad 2.

These applications are developed by Apple has been upgraded to support the Retina screen, for example with Keynote (iWork software sets), this application previously only 115MB capacity but its latest version is 327MB. Numbers from 109MB or 283MB up to, from 95MB to 269MB Pages, iMovie from 70MB to 404MB. 

The existing iPad apps apparently are automatically pixel-doubled to take up the Retina Display’s full screen.

They’ve also posted photos taken using the new iPad’s vastly improved camera. The new iPad comes with a 5-megapixel iSight Camera compared to iPad 2’s 1 megapixel camera.

The official launch date of the new iPad is March 16th and will be available in Apple’s Retail Store from 8:00 am.
