For Mac users, the Pixelmator team offers the Pixelmator Pro app. This app usually sells for $39.99 on the Mac App Store. However, on the occasion of Black Friday, Pixelmator Pro is being offered with a discount of 25%, bringing the app’s price down to just $29.99.
Pixelmator Photo: Pro Editor is a powerful photo editing application. Along with basic photo editing options such as crop, straighten, correct, white balance adjustment, lighting, and colors, Pixelmator Photo also offers advanced photo editing features such as removing unwanted objects from images, thanks to its AI-powered algorithms. There is, unfortunately, no support for layers.
Pixelmator Pro for Mac is known for its easy-to-use UI. It is a great Photoshop alternative, especially for beginners. Unlike the Pixelmator Photo: Pro Editor, the Pixelmator Pro app offers layers-based photo editing options. Even this app makes use of artificial intelligence to remove unwanted objects and to enhance colors in the images. The Pixelmator Pro also offers Light and Dark Modes for the UI that works with macOS Catalina.
