M1 iMac iPad Pro

The M1 iMac and the new iPad Pro lineup went on sale late last week in most markets across the world. The devices were first announced at Apple’s ‘Spring Loaded’ event in April and launched after being available for pre-order for three weeks.

The new iMac and iPad Pro are powered by Apple’s M1 chip, which is fast and power-efficient. The iMac has arguably gotten the biggest refresh in years, with a revamped new design. It now sports a sleeker design and comes with a larger 23.5-inch display. Apple is also offering the new iMac in seven different colors, making it an ideal PC for many people’s living room.

As for the iPad Pro, the M1 chip brings about a major boost in performance. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro features a superior Liquid Retina XDR display that features brightness levels of 1,600 nits and a contrast ratio of one million-to-one. The display really shines while viewing HDR content, where its higher brightness levels and deep black levels offer a much better viewing experience.

The smaller 11-inch iPad Pro continues to come with a regular Liquid Retina display with 120Hz ProMotion.

The new iPad Pro while powerful feels limited by iPadOS 14. Apple is expected to announce some major new updates as a part of iPadOS 15 next month at WWDC, which should be better able to take advantage of all the horsepower that the M1 iPad Pros pack.
