There are times when you need more than 140 characters to say something or respond to someone on Twitter.

Infinite Tweet 2 as the name suggests is a jailbreak tweak that lets you do just that.

The jailbreak tweak essentially integrates seamlessly with TwitLonger, a service that allows you to post more than 140 characters. So you can tweet without worrying about the character limit with your favorite Twitter apps like the official Twitter client (iTunes link), Tweetbot and Tweetbot 3 (iTunes link).

When you try to tweet more than 140 characters, you will get a prompt asking you if you want to use TwitLonger or cut the tweet to 140 characters. If you tap on TwitLonger, it will post the tweet to the service.

It also adds a feature to your favorite Twitter apps, that will allow you to open the tweets posted to TwitLonger within the apps, so you don’t need to exit the app.

You need to go the tweak’s Settings page to register it (Settings > Infinite Tweet). It will respring the device.

Infinite Tweet 2 developed by moeseth is available on Cydia for $0.99. It’s a nifty little tweak, but instead of integrating with TwitLonger, I would have preferred it if the tweak could split the tweet into multiple tweets with a numbering system (say like 1 of 2, 2 of 2 etc) or converted the longer tweet into an image like Tall Tweets. It would make it easier for your followers, who don’t have the tweak installed, to read the longer tweet on their favorite Twitter app.
