This rumor follows an earlier report that claimed Apple was looking at solar and induction technologies as potential power sources for its iWatch product.
Apple and Imagination Technologies extends iPhone, iPad graphics chip license
Imagination Technologies today announced that it has extended its licensing agreement with Apple. The agreement is a multi-year deal that gives Apple access to the company’s PowerVR graphics and video hardware. Financial terms of the deal wasn’t made available in the press release.
Apple posts job listing seeking physiologists, possibly for iWatch, but quickly pulls it
Apple recently posted a job listing on its website seeking “User Studies Exercise Physiologists” who will be tasked with designing and running user studies related to cardiovascular fitness and energy expenditure. This is of course a big hint that Apple’s working on a fitness and health related product, possibly the iWatch.
Apple may be acquiring sapphire manufacturing components to produce 200 million iPhone displays
Apple is preparing to kick off its sapphire manufacturing operations in a big way claims a series of reports in 9to5Mac and TechCrunch. The Cupertino company is working in conjunction with GT Advanced to manufacture the material in a Phoenix, Arizona facility.

A bug in iOS 7 allows users to disable Find My iPhone without entering a password, says a report in MacRumors. The security flaw affects iPhones and iPads that are running iOS version 7.0.4.

The interviewer asked Cook if the battle between iOS and Android is the same as the competition between Windows PC and the Mac. Cook answered with a definitive “no” and expounded on this answer by saying Windows was a single entity, while Android was a group of smaller entities much like Europe.
