The new 4-inch iPhone SE went on sale last week. If you are planning on buying or have already bought Apple’s latest 4-inch iPhone, chances are you are also planning on buying a case for the handset. The good news is that since the iPhone SE shares the same design as the iPhone 5s, cases for the latter fit the former just fine.
However, deciding on a case can be a tough decision, so to help you, we have compiled a list of our favorite cases for the iPhone SE below.
Before you head over to our list below, keep one thing in mind: Don’t be overwhelmed by the number of cases available for the iPhone SE out there. Decide clearly in your mind what kind of case you want — leather, thin, TPU, or a skin — and your budget for it. Some cases for iPhones can be exorbitantly expensive, so the wise thing to do will be to decide how much you are willing to spend on one beforehand.

Spigen
I am a big fan of cases from Spigen because of their quality and design. The company offers a wide variety of cases for the iPhone SE, including their ‘Thin Fit’ series that I love because of how thin they are. The case maker is already offering a bunch of cases for the iPhone SE like the Neo Hybrid Crystal, Wallet case, Liquid Armor and more. All the cases are available in a multitude of colors to fit match your taste.
Despite offering great quality, Spigen cases are priced pretty affordably, with prices ranging from $14.99 to $29.99. You can also purchase their cases from Amazon, where they usually retail for slightly less.

OtterBox
OtterBox are known for offering excellent protection with their cases, and if you are the kind who constantly drops their phone around, I recommend you to have a look at their cases. OtterBox offers three different types of cases for the iPhone SE: Symmetry, Commuter and Defender.
The Symmetry range of cases are available in a variety of pattered design and have a very sleek profile, though they are on the expensive side with prices starting from $49.99. The Commuter series blend style and protection perfectly, and are aimed at protecting your iPhone SE against daily wear and tear. The dual-layer case has a soft inner and a hard outer layer to better absorb shocks and dings. Prices for Commuter series of cases start from $19.95.
The Defender series offers up to three layers of protection and come with a screen protector to make sure that the screen of your iPhone SE is also protected against scratches. To protect the phone’s ports from dust ingress, the case has port covers, and there is also a holster that allows you to clip the case to your belt or use it as a hands-free kickstand. If you want the ultimate protection for your iPhone SE, you really cannot go wrong with OtterBox’s Defender series.

Skins
Let’s be honest here: Not everyone likes to use cases on their phones. I, for one, have not used one in a very long time. However, there is still a need to protect fragile smartphones of today, which is why I use skins. Skins offer a very minimum amount of protection against drops and dings, but on the flip side, they give your phone a unique look and don’t increase its weight or thickness in anyway.
There are two popular companies that provide skins for iPhones and other smartphones: Dbrand and Slickwraps. I prefer the former for their quality, fit and finish, though Slickwraps offers more variety. Irrespective of whom you decide to buy a skin from though, you are not going to regret it. Yes, they will not offer much in terms of protection, but they will definitely help in setting your iPhone SE apart from the crowd.
