Apple today launched a beta version of Apple Music on the web. What this means is that you no longer need to rely on iTunes or the Music app in macOS Catalina to stream music from a PC.
One can now simply head over to Apple Music’s website on the web from their browser and start streaming music.
The website does not offer an option to sign up for Apple Music so for this, you will still have to rely on the iOS, Android, PC, or macOS app. But otherwise, the website offers the same set of features which are a part of the mobile apps. You will have access to your entire music library, playlists, and more.
The site also has a dark mode and respects the Dark mode setting of your PC. So, if you are running macOS Mojave with Dark Mode enabled, the Apple Music website will automatically switch to a dark theme.
During the beta process, Apple is taking feedback from users so if you face any issues or have any complaints, make sure to drop your feedback.
