In a bid to change its perception among the public, Facebook promised to release a tool that would allow Instagram users to download their data. The company already offers a similar tool for Facebook, but this option was missing for Instagram. Yesterday, the tool finally went live which means you can now use download your Instagram data to see what all information Facebook has collected about you.
The tool also offers a great way to download all the photos that you have uploaded to Instagram over the years. Other data that this tool download includes comments, profile information, archived stories, messages and more.
How to Download Your Instagram Data from PC
Head over to this link to access the data download tool. Before you place your request, you will have to confirm the email ID along with your Instagram account password to confirm your identity.
Once confirmed, press the Request Download button. Instagram will then send you an email with a link to download your data. This email can take up to 48 hours to arrive in your inbox though.
Instagram is still rolling out the ability to download all your data from its mobile app. Once the rollout is complete, you will be able to head into the Privacy option of the app and request a link to download all data linked to your Instagram account.
