iPad mini Unboxing Video and First Impressions

As I posted a little while ago, we have the iPad mini (and 4th generation iPad) in hand and are ready to do our own unboxing an first impressions.

This is also the unofficial launch of our new YouTube Channel iPhoneHacksTV where we’ll post unboxing videos, gear reviews, how tos, and all the other kinds of things you’d expect from a YouTube channel from iPhoneHacks.

My first impressions, similar to what was posted earlier, are that it is lovely to hold. I think the screen is nice and clear, but I haven’t done much reading on it yet. Yes, web browsing might be a challenge because of the small, non-Retina screen. My plan, though many earlier reviewers have make the iPad mini their primary iPad, is that it will be my news reading, note jotting, and drawing device. Okay, probably some games too. I opted for the 16GB model of the iPad mini (but the 32GB for 4th generation iPad and iPhone 5), which I debated about, but felt that if this is a consumption device I’m not going to put as much on it.

Yeah we’ll see how long that lasts.

Regardless here is the iPad mini…unboxed:
