T-Mobile sweetens the deal for Simple Choice customers; offers more 4G LTE data, tethering and unlimited International texting

We’ve some good news for T-Mobile’s Simple Choice customers. T-Mobile has announced that it is doubling the data cap for Simple Choice customers on $50 monthly plan.

Here’s a summary of the changes announced today:

  • Simple Choice customers on $50 monthly plan will now get 1GB of 4G LTE data and tethering, compared to 0.5GB they got previously.
  • Customers can add a second line for $30 per month, and up to 3 additional lines for $10 per month. The additional lines will also get the extra 4G LTE data.
  • T-Mobile has also increase the data cap for customers who want to buy additional 4G LTE data. They will now get 3GB of 4G LTE data including tethering for an additional $10 a month per line compared to 2.5GB they got previously or 5GB for an additional $20 a month (vs. 2.5GB tethering previously). T-Mobile has also introduced a new unlimited 4G LTE option for an additional $30 per month, which comes with 5GB of tethering.
  • T-Mobile has also announced that it will be offering unlimited international texting to its Simple Choice customers. It is also adding 7 additional countries and destinations where customers can enjoy unlimited data and texting while traveling – and low, flat-rate calls for just 20 cents a minute. It takes the number of countries and destinations where this feature is available to 122.

Simple Choice customers don’t have to do anything to get the additional data as the changes will be applied automatically on your data plan. T-Mobile has said that the new benefits will be rolled out to credit and post-paid accounts on March 23rd, and to pre-paid accounts on April 26th.
