As it stands right now, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook has confirmed that the Apple Watch is on schedule to begin shipping in April.

While that does give potential buyers a better window to look through leading up to the launch, without an exact launch date penned into the calendar there’s still plenty of time to get excited about whatever bits of information gets leaked ahead of the release. Recently, Mark Gurman (@markgurman) posted an image to his Twitter account with a line that reads, “Here’s the icon for the Apple Watch Companion iPhone app.” Indeed, an icon was included with the tweet, and there is text underneath an Apple Watch in profile displaying “Apple Watch.”

The icon itself is a black background with a white Apple Watch in profile, with an actual bit of detail thrown in for good measure.

Recently, 9to5Mac published an in-depth look at what is believed to be the Companion App for the Apple Watch, with plenty of details breaking down new features expected to be unveiled alongside the wearable this year. The reveal of the app’s icon is just par for the course following the initial leak, and seems to indicate that there is still more information that will find its way into the news cycle before Apple officially releases their wearable.
