How to buy the Apple Watch

Apple today updated its website to add a ‘How to buy the Apple Watch’ section to it. The new section reiterates information that the company had already announced previously: pre-orders of the watch start from April 10 and customers will be able to reserve a unit of the Apple Watch online, so that they can pick it up on April 24.

While not explicitly mentioned, the section also suggests that the Apple Watch might also be available for in-store reservations from April 10.

If true, this means that starting from April 10, interested customers can walk-in to an Apple retail store and reserve a unit of Apple Watch of their choice, which they can then pickup on April 24. This does make sense once you consider the fact that try-on appointments for the Apple Watch will also begin from April 10.

Various reports have already confirmed that customers will not be able to directly walk-in in an Apple Store on or after April 24 to buy an Apple Watch. Customers can either reserve a unit for themselves online or schedule a try-on appointment after which they will be able to book a unit.

Apple Watch pre-orders are scheduled to start at 12:01 AM PDT time on April 10 in eight countries: United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Japan, China, France, Germany and Australia.
