We have already seen the Apple Watch being subjected to various stress tests since its release yesterday, including a scratch test for the sapphire glass and the Ion-X glass used on the different models of the watch.

The smartwatch emerged unscathed from these tests thereby showing how durable it really is. So what does it exactly take to destroy an Apple Watch? The folks over at Cnet decided to find this out by subjecting the watch to various levels of abuses using different kitchen tools, wine, maple syrup and more — at the end of which the watch emerged unscathed.

Eventually though, the Cnet team was successful in destroying the Apple Watch Sport by dropping a seven pound cast iron skillet and breaking the Ion-X glass of the Apple Watch Sport.

If there is anything that the torture test shows, it is how well the Apple Watch can hold up to intentional and unintentional abuse.
