How to Clean Your Apple Watch

Is it time to clean your Apple Watch?

Keeping your Apple Watch and its band clean is key to the longevity of both. It can prevent long-term damage and retain their comfort over time. This is especially important if you wear lotion, sunscreen, or work out with your Watch. Here are the steps to follow to clean both the Watch and the band.

Clean Your Apple Watch

Step 1: Remove the Watch from the charger and turn it off by holding down the side button and sliding the Power Off indicator.

Step 2: Use a clean, soft, lint-free, non-abrasive cloth to wipe down your Watch. If needed, you can dampen the cloth lightly with clean water.

Step 3: Use a clean, soft, lint-free, non-abrasive cloth to completely dry your Watch.

Clean Your Watch Band

Step 1: Remove your band from the Apple Watch. To do this, hold down the release button on the back of the Watch and slide the band out. Do the same for each part of the band.

For Leather Apple Bands

Step 2: Use a clean, soft, lint-free, non-abrasive cloth to wipe down your band. If needed, you can dampen the cloth lightly with water. Do not soak your leather band in water.

Step 3: Let your band air dry away from direct sunlight or high temperatures. Be sure the band is completely dry before reattaching it to your Watch.

For Other Apple Bands

Step 2: Use a clean, soft, lint-free, non-abrasive cloth to wipe down your band. If needed, you can dampen the cloth lightly with water.

Step 3: Use a clean, soft, lint-free, non-abrasive cloth to completely dry your band.
