At its ‘California Streaming’ iPhone 13 launch event, Apple announced the public release date of iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and watchOS 8. All three operating systems have been under beta testing for the last few months, with Apple releasing eight beta builds so far.

iOS 15 Release Date

With the pandemic relatively under control, Apple has again returned to its previous timeline of releasing iOS updates. The company tends to release iOS updates a week after its iPhone launch event, which is what it is doing this year as well.

Apple will release iOS 15 to the public on September 20.

iOS 15 comes with tons of new features, including Focus Mode, iCloud Relay, redesigned Safari, improved Find My app, and more.

iPadOS 15 Release Date

Apple will release iPadOS 15 alongside iOS 15 to the public on September 20.

iPadOS 15 brings widgets support on the home screen for iPad, App Library, Focus, Live Text, and an improved FaceTime experience. Apple is also improving the multitasking experience with a new multitasking menu at the top that will easily let you open apps in Split or Slide Over view.
