Apple has made live a new webpage for Apple Card. Users visiting the website are greeted with a page that reads “You’re almost there.” The webpage also details out steps required to apply for an Apple Card. Thats not all, Apple has also published a video tutorial on how to apply for an Apple Card.
Interestingly you can apply for an Apple Card by heading over to Wallet App on your iPhone. Meanwhile, iPad users can do the same by using the Wallet & Apple Pay option nesting in the Settings app. Before you apply for Apple Card make sure you are a US citizen or lawful resident at least 18 years old. Ensure that your iPhone/iPad is updated to the latest version of iOS. Lastly, make sure that your iPhone supports Apple Pay.
Apparently, the email invites have been sent to a small group of iPhone users. However, it is still not clear on the criteria used to shortlist the users for early invites. Apple is expected to launch Apple Card for all iPhone users later this month. Apple will be offering a dedicated app for iPad users allowing them to sign up and manage Apple Card. Furthermore, Apple and Goldman Sachs will offer a financing plan on select purchases.
Thanks to the leak we already know how the Apple Card will look like. The titanium finished Apple Card looks sleek and imposing. Apple is expected to wrap up its testing phase and launch the Apple Card later this month. Last month, Apple sent Apple Card to thousands of retail employees for testing purpose.
The Apple Card is integrated digitally with the iPhone and will give higher cashback on Apple purchases. The card offers 3% cashback on Apple Purchases, 2% cashback on Apple Pay Transactions and 1% cash back on other purchases.
