The iPad Pro is on a bit of a tour before it gets it public launch. We’ve already seen it at Pixar, for instance, where Apple is busy showing off the 12.9-inch tablet.
It’s the most powerful iOS-based device the company has created to date, equipped with 4GB of RAM and capable of editing multiple 4K videos at once for starters, and the accessories that Apple has built specifically of the new tablet stand out on their own, too. Thanks to BGR, there’s a pretty clear look of the iPad Pro out in the wild, along with some first impressions of the device and its stylus accessory, the Apple Pencil.
According to the report, the iPad Pro is a “game-changer.” More than that, the publication says that the device is a “new direction for the iPad that exemplifies how capable it is.”
Interestingly enough though, the most praise raining down on an Apple product was for the Pencil, which the publication had no qualms about saying how great it is. They note that when writing on the tablet, it feels practically instantaneous. There’s no waiting for the content to show up on the tablet’s display — it’s simply there as you write or draw, like an actual pad of paper and pencil.
“It’s weighted but light, charges via the lightning port on the iPad or a lighting to USB cable, but more importantly, it is said to work better than any other type of stylus. It senses pressure perfectly, the device ignores wrists, and the speed is so fast that it feels like you’re actually using a pencil and writing on paper — you don’t wait for the screen to display what you’re drawing, it appears as you draw.”
At the end of the day, the publication seems happy enough with the iPad Pro. While there’s an image of the Smart Keyboard, there was no first impressions of that particular accessory.
Are you looking forward to picking up the iPad Pro? Do you plan on getting the Pencil, too?
