Apple Card is undoubtedly hogging the limelight. Apple is said to be approving customers with a wide range of credit score for Apple Card. Apart from discounts, and convenience, Apple Card looks slick as well. An Apple Card user decided to peel the outer layer and take a look at the metal inside.

We have already spoken about how Apple Card is made up of 90% Titanium and 10% Aluminium Alloy. 9to5Mac reader has used a watch polishing machine in order to remove the white coating on Apple Card. What remains beneath is a brushed metal look with the chip intact. However, the laser etched name is peeled off with the white coating.

Here’s my card, which I polished out the white on the front (using a watch polishing machine) to reveal the metal. Just wanted to differentiate it, and also was curious about the claim of titanium. Everything still works!

The person who did this experiment reported that Apple Card works just fine. Apple Logo is retained as it is etched on the metal and not the coating. Furthermore, the person claims that it is curiosity that made him peel off the outer layer. We are pretty sure that others will follow suit and some might even try a bunch of new experiments with Apple Card.

Apple Card is available for anyone in the US with an iPhone. You can read our guide on How to Apply and use Apple Card. Already got your Apple Card, here is how you can activate your Titanium Apple Card. It is worth noting that Apple is offering Daily Cashback of up to 3% on Apple Card.
