There have been rumors regarding the possible launch of new iPad Pro models in 2020. Now, iOS 14’s leaked code suggests that Apple could launch four new iPad Pro versions to replace the current-generation 11-inch iPad Pro and 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
9To5Mac is reporting that it has found references to four new iPad models inside the iOS 14 code that it obtained a few weeks ago. The four iPad models carry code numbers J417, J418, J420, and J421. These could be references to Wi-Fi only and cellular versions of the 11-inch iPad Pro and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
The information in the report seems entirely possible as Apple had launched the all-new iPad Pro models last year with a massively updated design and high-end internal specifications. This year, the Cupertino-based brand could just launch newer versions of the iPad Pro with minor improvements on the outside.
The bezel-less screen could remain similar to the previous-generation iPads. However, Apple is expected to give a massive boost to the imaging capabilities of the upcoming iPads. It is bring reported that the upcoming iPad Pros could feature a triple-camera setup on the rear, featuring a wide-angle camera, an ultrawide camera, and a 3D ToF camera.
Apple could launch the new iPad Pros alongside the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 9 models sometime this year. These tablets could use beefier versions of the A13 Bionic processor that’s already used in the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max. They could also be compatible with the Apple Pencil (and OCR capabilities) and could come running iPadOS 14.
