WhatsApp is one of the most popular cross-platform messaging apps for iOS. If you’re a long time user of the app, you must be aware that WhatsApp allows you to select a custom wallpaper for chat backgrounds. You can choose from any of the default wallpapers that come with the app or choose a photo from your Camera Roll. If you wish to enjoy more high-quality wallpapers then you should check out WhatsApp Wallpapers.

The tweak is very simple and serves a single purpose; to enable users to use Apple wallpapers as chat backgrounds in WhatsApp. Apple wallpapers are the ones that can be found in the Wallpaper section of Settings. With every new iteration of iOS, Apple adds new wallpapers to the collection.

After installing the tweak, launch WhatsApp and head to the Settings page. You’ll notice that a new option has been added to the top of the page called ‘New Wallpapers’. Tap on it and you’ll view a collection of all the available Apple wallpapers which can be used.

To set any one of them as your default chat background, open the wallpaper and press the share button. Now select the ‘Save As Wallpaper’ option from the Share Sheet. The wallpaper will now be set as the default chat background for all of your conversations.

If you’re bored of the current set of wallpapers that WhatsApp provides and would like to try new high quality backgrounds then you should check out this new tweak. WhatsApp Wallpapers is available as a free package on Cydia’s BigBoss repo and supports the latest version of WhatsApp.
