WhatsApp is a well-known messaging app that is used by millions of users to send and receive messages from friends and families, send photos and videos as well as make a voice call. Just like other messaging apps that require a phone number, WhatsApp has been built for iPhone only and doesn’t support other devices such as iPad.

Jailbreak users can easily install WhatsApp on their iPad with the help of tweaks that are available on Cydia. Luckily, even if you are not jailbroken, there is a way to install WhatsApp on your iPad. It can be done using a modified version of WhatsApp called WhatsPad++ that is built for the iPad.

In this tutorial, we will show you how to download and install WhatsPad++ on your iPad.

Download and Install WhatsApp on iPad Using WhatsPad++

Step 1: Use your computer to download WhatsPad++ IPA.

Step 2: Download Cydia Impactor from here. It works with Mac, Windows and Linux, and will be used to install the app onto your iPad.

Step 3: Connect your iPad to your computer using a USB cable and open Cydia Impactor.

Step 4: Drag and drop the WhatsPad++ IPA file onto Cydia Impactor.

Step 5: You’ll be asked to enter your Apple ID and password, which is sent to Apple to generate a signing certificate. If you don’t want to provide it, create an alternative Apple ID and use that instead.

Step 6: Once you enter your Apple ID, Cydia Impactor will begin installing WhatsPad++ onto your device. After it’s done, you should see the WhatsApp icon on your Home screen.

Step 7: Before launching the app, go to Settings -> General -> Profiles. For some users, this may be labelled “Device Management” or “Profiles & Device Management”.

Step 8: Open the profile that has your Apple ID. Then click on the Trust button.

Step 9: Now go back to the Home screen and open WhatsApp.

Congrats! You can now use WhatsApp on your iPad to send and receive messages from your contacts. Since it is not originally built for the iPad, you may face some issues such as receiving messages with delay, no notifications, etc.

Keep in mind that after 7 days, the app will start to crash, so you have to re-install it again using Cydia Impactor.
