If you think you’re good at drawing with the Apple Pencil and iPad Pro, wait until you see what comic legend Jim Lee, currently co-publisher of DC Comics, can do with them. Check out the Instagram videos below, in which Lee draws Batman and Joker.

Lee used the popular drawing app Procreate, which is available for $5.99 on the App Store, to sketch two of the most famous comic book characters in history. Watch those sketches take shape in the Instagram videos below.

Joker time lapsed video. As you can see, I really don’t have much methodology other than I like seeing what happens when I lay down one color next to another. What I like about digital work is the ability to keep exploring so I use it as a learning tool. Still prefer working on canvas or paper but painting on a plane is a lot easier with tools like these
