Apple's Keynote address at Worldwide Developer Conference 2009 should be underway shortly. It is being held at the Moscone Center West in San Francisco, California.
Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, will deliver the keynote. We are closely following the event and will keep updating this post with the details as soon as they are announced.

The event has just started so fasten your seat belts.
Phil Schiller who will be delivering the Keynote has taken the stage.
Apple will be discussing what Apple is working on for the Mac, OS X, and iPhone in today's Keynote. Schiller starts off with Mac.
Schiller has announced all new 15" MacBook Pro and updated 17" MacBook Pro and 13" MacBook.
They have renamed the 13" MacBook as 13" MacBook Pro, so does not mean they will be announcing a netbook and call it MacBook. Interesting!
Schiller has moved on to talking about Mac OS X.
Some highlights of Snow Leapord:
- Preview is now up to 2X faster
- Mail is up to 2.3X faster
- Safari is 7.8X faster at JavaScript than IE8 (Chrome is only 5X faster)
- Includes QuickTime X with a completely new interface focused on content
Mail, iCal, and Address Book now all support Exchange.
Leopard was $129 and they want all Leopard users to upgrade to Snow Leopard. Snow Leopard will be $29 for those users.
iPhone time folks!!! Scott Forstall is talking about iPhone now.
Talks about 50,000 iPhone apps. 40M iPhones and iPod Touches sold and as we already know more than1 billion iPhone apps downloaded.

Scott Forstall is back on stage and talking about iPhone OS 3.0.
Talking about Copy and Paste feature and API so that developers can use it in their iPhone app.
Landscape coming to Notes, Mail and Messaging App.
MMS is also coming to iPhone OS 3.0, however it will depend on the carrier. AT&T not until later this summer.
The first big one, you will be able to rent and download movies right on the iPhone.
Tethering is a seamless experience but again depends on the carrier. AT&T was not in the list of 22 supported carriers who will be offering it at launch of iPhone OS 3.0.
Safari on iPhone is now 3 times faster in iPhone OS 3.0.
Safari also brings support for HTTP streaming audio and video. It will automatically determines best quality for your connection.
Introduces Find my iPhone for MobileMe subscribers. Lets you send your phone a message — a special alert sound will play, regardless if your phone is on silent or not. You can also send remote wipe instruction. Pretty cool!
Talks about peer-to-peer connectivity, In-App purchases and ability for accessory developers to develop apps to interact with their accessories through the Dock connector or Bluetooth.
Then about Push notifications which can include pop-up alerts, sounds, and App icon badges. Apple's solution or workaround to run iPhone apps in the background.
iPhone app developers coming on stage to demo their apps which have used features of iPhone OS 3.0.
Gameloft demos their new game Asphalt 5.
Airstrip demoes Critical Care which takes advantage of Push notifications.
ScrollMotion creates ebooks apps for the App Store which makes use of the In-app purchase to download books directly through the iPhone app.
TomTom demos their turn-by-turn GPS application for the iPhone with voice navigation. They will sell an optional accessory that safely attaches an iPhone to a car which also makes use of iPhone 3.0 accessory framework to provide more accurate GPS,
includes speakerphone, plays music from your iPhone on the car stereo, and even charges it. Awesome!
Ngmoco demos their latest game, Star Defense.
Pasco demos their iPhone app which help teach sciences to students.
Zipcar is demoing their iPhone app. Zipcar is the leading car sharing service and has over 300,000 members across US and UK. Their app makes use of iPhone OS 3.0 MapKit.
Finally, the last demo, Line6 and Planet Waves demo their app to control your guitar and amp from your iPhone.
iPhone OS 3.0 will be free for the original iPhone models, iPhone 3G but $9.99 for iPod Touch users.
iPhone OS 3.0 will be available worldwide on June 17th. For all paid developers, the GM seed is available today.

Here you go folks!!! Apple has announced their third generation iPhone, it will be called iPhone 3GS and S in 3GS stands for speed.
No front facing camera.
No change in external design, it remains the same. All the changes inside.
It will be 2.1x faster to launch Messages, 2.4x to load SimCity, 3.6x faster to
load an Excel attachment, 2.9x faster to load a large website.
It will have a brand new 3MP auto-focus camera which captures video. Great, just like we had heard.
The camera in iPhone 3GS will allow you to take video at 30FPS, VGA with audio, auto-focus, auto-white balance, auto-exposure.
The camera application will allow you to take photos and video and also scrub and edit the video right on the iPhone.
You can share the video right from your iPhone 3GS to YouTube, MobileMe, MMS, and email.
iPhone 3GS also includes a digital compass.
Includes support for Nike+.
You will also be able to instant remote wipe, encrypted iTunes backups to cater to corporates.
Improved battery life. Now up to 9 hours of
internet surfing, 10 hours of video, 30 hours of audio, 12 hours of 2g
talk-time, 5 hours of 3g talk-time. Its almost 50% better. That's just perfect.
iPhone 3GS 16GB for $199, iPhone 3GS 32GB for $299.
The iPhone 3GS will be available on June 19th.
The current iPhone 3G 8GB model will be available for $99. Apple hopes to open up the market.
