The TaiG team released the eagerly awaited jailbreak for iOS 8.3, iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.1.3 for all iOS devices earlier today.
If you’ve successfully jailbroken your iPhone or iPad, but have found that most of the jailbreak tweaks and apps are not working, then that’s because the Cydia Substrate is not compatible with iOS 8.3 – iOS 8.1.3 yet.
Jay Freeman aka saurik, the developer of Cydia Substrate has clarified that the TaiG team need to update the jailbreak kernel patch to fix the issue. The TaiG team have also confirmed on their Weibo account that they’re working on a fix and will release a new version of the TaiG iOS 8.3 – iOS 8.1.3 jailbreak soon to address the issue. Update: TaiG team released TaiG 2.1.2 Jailbreak which fixes the Cydia Substrate issue on iOS 8.3.
But there are still some jailbreak apps and tweaks like iFile that seem to be working on iOS 8.3. Installing tweaks that are not compatible with iOS 8.3 could result in reboot loops or force you to restore your device, so please be careful.
