Rumors about Apple launching a 4-inch iPhone in March or April have slowly been picking up steam. The existence of the handset has also been confirmed in a video that displayed the iPhone 6 look-alike in all its glory.
Further confirming its existence, the 4-inch iPhone has now posed in front of the camera beside the iPhone 5. The image was obtained by One More Thing via a user named Gijs Raggers who has previously leaked photos of Apple products months before their official unveiling.
From the image, it is evident that the 4-inch iPhone does indeed sport a 4-inch screen with curved glass at its edges and looks very similar to the iPhone 6.
Considering that most consumers have moved on to the iPhone 6/iPhone 6s or iPhone 6 Plus/iPhone 6s Plus due to their bigger screens, the 4-inch iPhone is unlikely to find many new takers. However, Apple can price the handset lower than other iPhones, which can potentially make it a huge seller in emerging markets like India and Indonesia etc.
The 4-inch iPhone, rumored to be called the iPhone 5e or the iPhone 6c, is expected to come with an A8 chip, an 8MP rear shooter, Apple Pay support, and Touch ID.
Will you buy a 4-inch iPhone if Apple gets around to releasing one?
