The Music app in iOS 10 has received a major redesign and as such, many of the features have been repositioned. The design changes is intended to make it easier to use the Music app. But it has actually become much harder to find certain features for the first time.
Many users have repeatedly asked us where the Repeat button is located in iOS 10, iOS 11 and iOS 12. Read on to find out where you can find the Repeat button in iOS 10 Music app, so you can keep playing your favorite song again and again.
How to Repeat a Song in the Music App on iPhone or iPad
Step 1: Launch the Music app.
Step 2: Start playing a song.
Step 3: The Now Playing mini player appears at the bottom of the screen. Tap on it to open the Now Playing screen.
Step 4: Next, scroll down on the Now Playing screen and this reveals the Up Next section along with two buttons located next to it, the Shuffle and Repeat buttons.
Step 5: Tap on the Repeat button as shown below to repeat the song that’s playing. In iOS 11, iOS 12 or higher, you will see a Repeat button instead of just the icon.
There you go. Now that you know where the Repeat button is, you should be able to use it easily the next time you want to repeat a song. The Shuffle button is also located right next to the Repeat button. You can read our detailed guide on the various ways to shuffle songs in the Music app:
It’s safe to say that iOS 10, iOS 11, and iOS 12 users will find the Repeat and Shuffle buttons at some point by “accident”, but I’m surprised that Apple has placed these useful buttons out of plain sight.
