Ever since I got my iPhone 6s Plus, I’ve had workarounds that would let me quickly open the Mobile Data options in the Settings app. Toggling Wi-Fi and Bluetooth has always been easy – Control Center or the Settings 3D Touch action. But no such thing for Mobile Data existed.
I did the Launcher widget, the Launch Center Pro 3D Touch Quick Actions, all of it. Thankfully, with iOS 10 I don’t need to do all this. And if you’ve got a 3D Touch enabled device like the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus or the newer 2016 iPhones, neither do you.
Mobile Data Shortcut
iOS 10 did not bring us the customizable Control Center we were all hoping for. But at least we got a new “Mobile Data” option in the 3D Touch Quick Actions menu for the Settings app, so there’s that.
Step 1: In iOS 10, when you want to open Mobile Data options, find the Settings app (best to keep this on the home screen), and 3D Touch the app icon (press deeper on the icon till you feel vibration feedback).
Step 2: Now you’ll see the Quick Actions. And what that thing there? Lo and behold, it’s Mobile Data!
Step 3: Tap on it and you’ll be taken to Mobile Data settings. Skipping the Settings screen altogether!
There are so many little things like this in iOS 10 that help you be more productive, do things a little bit faster, a little bit better. Let us know what you think in the comments.
