Following weeks of developer betas, Apple has officially released the newest version of iOS to the public.
Apple today officially released iOS 10.3.3. As was discovered during the developer beta phase, the new mobile operating system version is a minor update. That means there aren’t any major new features added to the platform for the end user. This new software is meant to fix behind-the-scenes issues, improve performance and the overall quality of the software.
To update, iOS users with supported devices simply need to go into Settings –> General –> Software Update, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
The public release of iOS 10.3.3 comes a couple of months before the expected arrival of iOS 11, the next major software release from Apple. That software brings with it a plethora of new features, including a new modular Control Center, a new Apple File System, and much more. iOS 10.3.3 will likely be the last version of the platform before iOS 11 arrives later this year, unless any major issues crop up after the public release of the software.
While we expect iOS 11 to arrive in September, there is no exact date for the release date just yet. As mentioned above, this is likely the last software update for iOS 10 until it’s replaced by the next major release later this year. It is possible that new issues are discovered in this public release, though, which could mean iOS 10 is updated yet another time before that major software release later this year.

Apple has revealed in the security document for iOS 10.3.3, that the latest software update includes a fix for a vulnerability that could allow a hacker to execute arbitrary code on the Wi-Fi chip.
