If you’re having trouble with the Meridian iOS 10.3.3 jailbreak for 64-bit iOS devices, then you can check out the G0blin jailbreak for iOS 10.3.x. We hadn’t covered it as it is not a fully functional jailbreak, as Sticktron, hacker and developer of G0blin hasn’t released an IPA for it yet.
He has released the source code for the G0blin jailbreak on Github, so will need to use Xcode to create an IPA file or wait for the developer to release the G0blin IPA.
G0blin is “basically a yalu103 jailbreak” which makes use of the kernel exploit discovered and released by Siguza. It is compatible with all 64-bit devices running iOS 10.3.3 except for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus as they aren’t compatible with Luca Todesco’s KPP bypass techniques, just like the Yalu jailbreak.
The other advantage of using the G0blin jailbreak is that it also installs Cydia and also includes compatible Cydia Substrate so a number of jailbreak tweaks are compatible with it. The GUI based jailbreak tweaks may not work.
The developer explains:
As you may know g0blin is basically a “yalu103” jailbreak: same devices as yalu102 but for iOS 10.3(.x) made possible by Siguza’s new v0rtex exploit.
I gave Cydia the entitlement manually so it works 100%. Now I have to find/implement a solution that applies automatically to all such apps. I have a backup plan that I will implement temporarily just to release sooner, while working on the real solution.
You can download the source code from this Github link.
Sticktron has said that he plans to release an IPA soon. So you could wait for the G0blin IPA to sideload it using Cydia Impactor when it is available.
Several users have reported that they have been able to successfully jailbreak their iOS devices using the G0blin jailbreak. However, there are some issues such battery drain which can be resolved by disabling Location Services temporarily until Sticktron provides a fix for it (via reddit).
If you give it a shot then let us know it goes in the comments.
