Electra 1.2.0 Jailbreak

The Electra team has released Electra 1.2.0 for all iPhones and iPads running iOS 11 – iOS 11.4.1. The Electra jailbreak tool for iOS 11 was first released in July last year and after a stream of updates initially, the team behind the tool went silent. Today, the team is out with Electra 1.2.0 with some new improvements.

Firstly, the latest version of Electra does away with the requirement of a user having a developer account. Secondly, it does away with the vfs exploit and uses new exploits to achieve jailbreak on A9 and older iPhones and iPads which makes it more stable than the existing version. The new version of Electra jailbreak tool has a success rate of over 90 percent which is a massive improvement over the existing version where users were required to run the tool multiple times in hopes of a successful jailbreak.

The Electra app might crash on iPhones and iPads running iOS 11.4.1 but CoolStar from the Electra team has confirmed he will roll out an update for the tool in around six hours from now.

If you plan on using Electra 1.2.0 to jailbreak your iPhone or iPad running iOS 11 – iOS 11.4.1, make sure to delete the iOS 12 OTA update from the device beforehand.

An update to unc0ver jailbreak is also expected to be released sometime soon which will take advantage of the new iOS 11 exploits. This will make jailbreaking your iPhone or iPad running iOS 11 more reliable than the existing version of the tool.
