Many iOS users weren’t happy that Apple altered the peach emoji in iOS 10.2 beta 1 to make it look less like a butt. But following complaints, its original look has been restored in iOS 10.2 beta 3, which first rolled out to developers on Monday.
Apple has been tweaking the designs of most of its emoji characters in recent iOS releases, adding detail that makes them look a little sharper. Almost all of the food emojis have been changed in iOS 10.2, but there’s one users weren’t happy with.
That’s the peach, which despite being a fruit, was often used to represent a butt due to its shape. Apple tried to change that in iOS 10.2 beta 1 to make it look more rounded, and less like a rear end, but the company’s has reversed the change in iOS 10.2 beta 3.
Apple has improved the emoji’s color a bit, and added a little more detail. But the new peach emoji is almost identical to the original again — as you can see in the comparison below from MacRumors.
“It’s an insignificant change, but the reversion of the peach emoji to its original state suggests Apple listens to and takes into account the feedback of its users, even when it comes to small details,” MacRumors adds.
