How To Change Color Of iOS 5 Notification Center

In case you’re bored of the dull grey background of iOS 5’s Notification Center then Ravi Raj, iOS hacker and developer (Twitter handle rv1raj) has a solution for you.

He has created a simple tweak called ColorNotificationCenter, which allows you to change the background of iOS 5 notification center to either red, blue, purple, black and green.

It essentially install themes for the five colors, which can be changed via Winterboard settings.

You can follow these simple steps to change the color of iOS 5 notification center:

  • Launch Cydia
  • Tap on the Manage tab
  • Tap on the Edit button and then the Add button
  • Enter the following URL http://pepper.net to add the source of the jailbreak tweak
  • Then tap on Search tab and type Color Notification Center
  • Tap on ColorNotificationCenter from the search results
  • Then tap on Install button and then Confirm button to install the jailbreak tweak

After the jailbreak tweak is successfully installed, you will be able to change the color of the Notification Center by going to Settings->Winterboard->Select Themes->RedNotificationCenter/PinkNotificationCenter/GreenNotificationCenter/BlueNotificationCenter/BlackNotificationCenter.
